NSW have produced a performance for the ages, smashing QLD 30-12 at Suncorp, to upset the holders, winning the series 2-1.

Here are the player ratings for both sides on the night!

NSW Ratings:

James Tedesco - 7.5/10, Teddy was subbed early after failing his HIA, but started the game very positively making classic Tedesco runs into small pockets of space.

Jack Bostock - 6.5/10, just his presence made a huge difference tactically, with QLD having to change their approach in attack. A few fumbles of the footy, and a bottled try at the start were some lowlights before he was ruled out, but a solid display on debut.

Bradman Best - 8.5/10, built for Origin, Bradman Best always looks good when he puts on the Blues jersey. A classic 2-way threat, his physicality and pace makes him such a threat, and he scored an excellent length of the field try.

Stephen Crichton - 7.5/10, quietly and professionally went about his business. Critta kept his cool and was a leader on the field for NSW, his best highlight was an excellent offload leading to Nathan Cleary's second try.

Mark Nawaqanitawase - 6.5/10, fairly quiet night for Marky Mark, but was decent in this game. He didn't get a ton of footy out wide, but he did his job.

Mitchell Moses - 7/10, super solid from Mitchell Moses at Suncorp again. His long kicking game was utilised to perfection, allowing Nathan Cleary to take the kicks closer to the line. A much better tactical tweak from Laurie Daley.

Nathan Cleary - 9.5/10, MOTM again. Cleary has an insane performance, scoring twice, and setting up a try with a great strip on Selwyn Cobbo. This is the kind of performance fans have begged for.

Payne Haas - 9/10, the best prop to grace the sport for a reason. Haas made barnstorming runs up the middle, and his offload game was top class and what was desperately needed for NSW.

Reece Robson - 7/10, solid from Robson, took a few more risks early around the ruck, still not as effective as a hooker should be, but a good display overall.

Mitch Barnett - 7/10, quiet night for Mitch Barnett, but took no real risks and hit the ball up solidly.

Hudson Young - 8/10, Hudson Young was fired up as always and played a hard game of footy. Big straight runs, and a late try capped off a great performance.

Liam Martin - 8.5/10, a great return to the Origin arena for Liam Martin. He is built for Origin, his defence is a thing of beauty to watch.

Isaah Yeo - 7.5/10, another top defender, Isaah Yeo was relatively quiet in defence but made key tackles as the NSW defence looked much improved.

BENCH:

Cameron Murray - 7/10, always solid, Murray put in great work on both sides of the field.

Addin Fonua-Blake - 7.5/10, his best display for NSW this series, Addin Fonua-Blake looked hungry off the bench and flew into the QLD defence with the ball in hand.

Blayke Brailey - 7/10, so quick around the ruck, Blayke Brailey was put on at the right time by Laurie Daley thankfully, and put in great work from dummy half.

Ethan Strange - N/A

Tolu Koula - 2/10, looked uncomfortable at fullback letting the ball bounce dangerously twice. Clearly not his best position and looked exposed there.

QLD Ratings:

Kalyn Ponga - 4.5/10, looked fired up when NSW made an error, but failed to impact. He had some nice runs which nearly amounted to line-breaks, but an average game for Ponga.

Selwyn Cobbo - 7/10, great effort again from Cobbo, bagging another try and ran hard into tackles. He can hold his head high.

Robert Toia - 3/10, anonymous on the field. Few bad moments, but very few good ones.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow - 5/10, scored a great try before half time, but the Hammer didn't get enough footy in key areas to make enough of an impact.

Jojo Fifita - 5/10, fought hard in kick contests, but got very few hit-ups or real chances out wide.

Cameron Munster - 4/10, spent more time sooking than trying to play footy as per usual. A few few nice early kicks and that was about it.

Sam Walker - 4/10, similar to Munster, he had some nice deep kicks, but rarely threatened close to the line, and failed to run the ball.

Tom Flegler - 5/10, average game for Flegler, no real big moments positive or negative. Always physical in defence.

Harry Grant - 6.5/10, Phil Gould called him a 'cheat', and he looked to milk penalties around the ruck unsuccessfully for the most part. Made some nice dummy half runs, but no real threat close to the line.

Tino Fa'asuamaleaui - 5/10, same as Flegler, nothing to shout about, always physical, but was a passenger.

Briton Nikora - 6/10, had an embarrassing moment when he could've gone through the line but instead chose to laugh at James Tedesco over a head clash like he did something. Solid performance with some good runs.

Kurt Capewell - 4/10, another passenger that had an average game.

Reuben Cotter - 3/10, too many errors, Reuben Cotter looked off his game tonight.

BENCH

Max Plath - 4.5/10, always gives his all but not his best night as he didn't back himself enough with the footy.

Jeremiah Nanai - 3/10, another QLD passenger.

Trent Loiero - 3/10, and another. More shoves of NSW players than anything else.

Reece Walsh - 6/10, good effort off the bench trying to change his teams momentum, and looked to expose gaps around tired players.
