Several teams have undergone major rebuilds, while others have focused on adding experience and depth as they look to challenge for silverware.
From Awer Mabil joining Melbourne City to Tom Lockyer arriving at Melbourne Victory, there have been plenty of notable moves. Here is a club-by-club breakdown of the reported transfers in and out ahead of the new season.
Adelaide United

The biggest A-League transfers to watch
Several moves stand out ahead of the new season. Awer Mabil's arrival at Melbourne City adds international experience and attacking threat, while Tom Lockyer gives Melbourne Victory a high-profile defensive signing.
Newcastle Jets will hope Joe Lolley can make a difference in attack, and Western Sydney will be pleased to have Nicolas Milanovic back in their ranks.
Macarthur's signing of Ryan Fraser is another major move, while Perth Glory face the challenge of replacing Adam Taggart's goals.
With significant turnover at clubs including Brisbane Roar, Central Coast Mariners and Auckland FC, the early rounds should provide a clearer picture of which teams have recruited most effectively.
