USA v Australia

What a start to day 9. There is so much pride and ego on the line in this game. The USA played on the front foot and scored some great goals against Paraguay.

For Australia, that defensive rigidity that beat Turkiye will be on show, but Australia will likely play slightly more aggressively against the USA.

If the USA play Tim Ream again, Mohamed Toure and Nestroy Irankunda will fancy their chances on the break with their excellent pace.

This game should be a belter, and if Australia wins, one of the best days in Socceroos history.

Scotland v Morocco

Another fantastic matchup. The Scotland fans will continue to give a big boost to their players, but Morocco looked very good yet again against a strong Brazil side.

Both sides will have chances to win the game, I think all 3 results are very possible.

Based off how they played in game 1 though, Morocco will be favourites and if they can play their great 1, 2 touch football in behind Scotland they get over the line.

Brazil v Haiti

A chance for Brazil to redeem themselves, they have no excuses not to win this game.

And that's not to discount Haiti who were very dangerous especially down their left hand side. If they can continue to create chances like they did against Scotland they could scare Brazil.

But Brazil should stand up and control the ball and control the outcome of this game.

Turkiye v Paraguay

A massive opportunity for both these sides to get their first points after disappointing displays.

Turkiye need to put their egos aside and have a better outlook on this game. They should be able to get in behind Paraguay easier than in their opening game against Australia.

If they work the ball into better positions instead of trying to score from very difficult distances, they should beat this Paraguay side.

But, if they continue how they played against Australia, Paraguay can easily win this game with the great options they have going forward.
