France v Senegal

A great matchup to start the day with these sides boasting great options in attack especially.

France will be firm favourites now due to Spains draw against Cape Verde. But with Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Michael Olise, Rayan Cherki and Bradley Barcola up front this attack will be almost impossible to thwart.

Iraq v Norway

A chance to see Erling Haaland at the World Cup for the first time. Iraq showed great fight just a week or so ago to grab an unlikely draw against Spain and have great effort and heart.

The most clinical striker in the world is Haaland and if he can convert Norways chances, they pick up 3 points.

Antonio Nusa and Martin Odegaard will be key players in attack for Norway.

Argentina v Algeria

Could this be Lionel Messi's last World Cup? This will be a great tactical battle with great technical players on both sides.

Messi of course the headline act, but with the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez, there should be plenty of chances for the current champions.

For Algeria, they should back their great technical players from front to back and try and rattle to cage of Argentina early as their lack of discipline can be exposed at times, particularly defensively.

Austria v Jordan

The most bland matchup so far this tournament. Austria will hold a good shape and will control the ball with Jordan playing 5 at the back, hitting Austria on the counter attack.

I hope I am pleasantly surprised but these sides won't come close to winning anything major any time soon.
