Spain v Cape Verde

This feels like another Germany v Curacao, Cape Verde is a better opponent, but Spain is a better side than Germany.

Spain is the favourite to win the tournament and their intent should be to beat everyone significantly; including cape verde.

The midfield of Spain should dominate not only possession, but field position which likely overwhelms their opposition.

Tip - Spain wins 4-0
Goal Scorer Tip - Mikel Oyarzabal

Belgium v Egypt

Despite Belgiums poor results in European competitions in recent history, Belgium will be big favourites to topple Egypt.

In Egypt's last 10 games they've only managed to score more than once on 3 occasions; once in a friendly and once against a weaker Benin side.

Belgium's defence is their weak point, but the lack of goal scoring threat will make it tough for Egypt to get an upset.

Tip - Belgium win 2-1
Goal Scorer Tip - Jeremy Doku

Saudi Arabia v Uruguay

A tough game to pick, but should reveal important information on both sides.

Saudi Arabia are a very good technical side and will look to get in behind the defence of Uruguay and should have a decent amount of possession.

Uruguay should aim to control the games tempo, but if they overcommit in attack they could leave themselves susceptible to a counter attack.

I've predicted Uruguay to have a solid World Cup and they are the stronger side, so I will back them to get the job done, but Saudi Arabia will make them work hard for a result and will not be shy to shoot.

Tip - Uruguay wins 3-1
Goal Scorer Tip - Rodrigo Zalazar

Iran v New Zealand

Last time New Zealand were at the World Cup they managed not to lose a game although they failed to win a game also.

This time around they may try similar tactics, but particularly at centre back they don't have the best options.

Iran is a very solid side that should control this game for the most part, limiting New Zealand's attacking chances and putting pressure on their opposing defence.

Tip - Iran wins 2-0
Goal Scorer Tip - Saman Ghoddos
