Canada v Bosnia and Herzegovina

Host nation Canada are the statistical favourite to grab all 3 points on their first game of this World Cup.

But Bosnia and Herzegovina are not to be underestimated and on paper these sides are quite evenly matched, and likely both camps will be quietly confident they can win this game.

This game will come down to composure and taking chances, if Canada get too excited and push up from the back, they could be exposed in a quick transition.

With great options up front for both sides, whoever converts their chances has a great opportunity to kickstart their World Cup.

USA v Paraguay

The final host nation to play, the USA have talked a big game and will need to back it up as they are significant favourites against Paraguay.

Tighter on paper than the USA think, Paraguay are a very technical side and boast a number of great individual players that could produce match winning moments.

Under the coaching of Mauricio Pochettino, and with a home crowd behind them, the USA should take a leaf from the book of Mexico and really look to press and be very direct for 90 minutes. If they can do this, they will likely take the points.
