1 change is predicted from Tony Popovic ahead of a massive clash against hot nation the USA.

The predicted change comes in midfield, with Aiden O'Neill being replaced by Jackson Irvine.

O'Neill played a solid game, but Popovic may elect Irvine in midfield to start, to add some experience and leadership into the centre of the park.

Irvine is also a better attacking option, although is a more defensively minded player. But with the impressiveness of the defence in Australia's famous victory over Turkiye, Popovic may elect Irvine for that extra bit of attacking quality, and chemistry with teammate and goalscorer Conor Metcalfe.

There is rumours circulating around Nestroy Irankunda, who was substituted at the hour mark against Turkiye and was reportedly tired after his player of the match stint.

With a week in between games, this is more than enough time for Irankunda to rejuvenate despite his record for club and country of being a substitute.

If Irankunda is used off the bench, it could be a first look at Italian defector Christian Volpato, who was an unused substitute against Turkiye.
