The Changes:

Jacob Italiano and Mathew Leckie have been ruled out of the final group stage clash v Paraguay.

But with the great cameo against the USA, Christian Volpato should get his first start off the right. Popovic hopefully has learned his lesson with Nestroy Irankunda, and will start him for this game.

The Socceroos looked such a better side with those 2 on the field, and it makes sense strategically. It's far better to start with them and get a goal or 2, then defend the lead, rather than trying to chase the game.

Conor Metcalfe has been one of Australia's best so far, and with his experience playing more centrally, he could shift into central midfield to allow Volpato to be unleashed down the right hand side.

Jacob Italiano is out, so it looks almost certain for Jason Geria to be his replacement at right wing back.

There are talks about Lucas Herrington getting his start in the backline in place of Cameron Burgess who had a shocking game and was substituted early against the USA. But with the experience and ball playing ability of Burgess, he likely gets the nod to start.
