In Goal: Vozinha (Cape Verde) - Another heroic display from one of the all time cult heroes. Denied Lionel Messi 1 on 1, and skilled past Lautaro Martinez twice, another top performance despite conceding 3 goals.

In Defence:

Pedro Porro (Spain) - Scored a great goal, made 7 defensive recoveries and was a vital player for Spain in attack and defence.

Issa Diop (Morocco) - Won player of the match for Morocco, scored a late goal to send it to extra time, and was solid at the back.

Lisandro Martinez (Argentina) - Brilliant assist for Lionel Messi, and a brilliant goal in extra time. Martinez looked at his best.

Marc Cucurella (Spain) - Provided 2 assists, made 50 passes, and was never dribbled past, on his way to a clean sheet.

In Midfield:

Michael Olise (France) - Another top display from Olise, his dribbling and key passes made a huge difference for France in attack. He registered 2 assists, and is just 1 assist off Pele's record for most assists in a World Cup.

Youri Tielemans (Belgium) - In the most dramatic fashion, Youri Tielemans produced the most important performance of his career. 2 goals to seal a most unlikely comeback victory over Senegal.

Patrick Berg (Norway) - Player of the match for Berg, he set up the crucial winning goal for Norway, creating 2 big chances, and being a rock in midfield.

Julian Quinones (Mexico) - 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 player of the match award. Quinones is in top form and was on fire for Mexico against Ecuador.

Up Front:

Harry Kane - Single handedly turned around the result for England, delivering 2 late goals to send England through. England's most important and valuable player.

Kylian Mbappe - Another world class performance from Mbappe, scoring 2 goals for France, and sits second on the all time World Cup goalscorers tally. Insane!
