My Team:

In goal I have Bart Verbruggen and Antonin Kinsky, with a bench boost next week I can get points for both, then decide which guy to transfer out to free up another £0.5m.
In defence I have opted for Harry Maguire, with Manchester United having a good run of early fixtures he should return well. I have gone with Trai Hume, at just £4.5m he is great value and can feature at left back, right back, or on the wing where he has played in preseason.
With Sunderland being in Europe and doing little business, he should get good minutes as well. With Ezri Konsa on the way to Arsenal and Jurrien Timber back soon, I have opted for Riccardo Calafiori for now, although Piero Hincapie will likely get good minutes.
On the bench I have gone with Bobby Thomas at £4.0m, with Coventry taking on Hull at home next week for the bench boost. His DEFCON potential makes him a safe pick for the minimum price. I have gone for Tarik Muharemovic over Luka Vuskovic, because he has been very impressive in preseason, has big DEFCON potential, and Leeds have a the most favourable run in the first five games.
In midfield, I have got a Manchester United duo in Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes due to the favourable opening run for United. Fernandes gives a good option for penalties despite two penalty misses in preseason. I have also opted for Christos Tzolis after an impressive preseason, and Arsenal failing to sing a big left winger for the time being. His potential for goals and assists makes him a great option for just £6.5m.
Lastly, I have opted for the Brentford duo of Mamadou Sangare and Mikkel Damsgaard. Sangare will be one of the signings of the season, and his ability to score DEFCON points at just £5.5m makes him one of the best FPL pickups this season. Mikkel Damsgaard is just 0.6% owned, but if Brentford can continue their form of last season, he could be a mighty pick up.
I also have a remaining £0.5m in the bank to invest over the coming weeks, and with a keeper being sacrificed, there is an extra £1.0m right there to spend.
