Arsenal, Grade: B

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Bruno Guimaraes £75m, Ezri Konsa £55m, Christos Tzolis £34m, Piero Hincapie £34.5m
Major Outs: Leandro Trossard £17m, Gabriel Jesus £12m, Jakub Kiwior £19m
Arsenal have added some great talent completing the defence and midfield. Bruno Guimaraes adds great quality, experience and leadership, with Ezri Konsa providing great cover while William Saliba is injured, and offers another option at right-back. Christos Tzolis has started brightly, but Arsenal's key objective was to sign a new big name forward and they have failed to do so. It's just one or two attackers away from a totally complete side.
Aston Villa, Grade: B-

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Ibrahim Mbaye £47m, Taylor Harwood-Bellis £30m, Nicolas Jackson £65m, Johan Manzambi £59.5m, Joao Gomes £38m, Zion Suzuki £29.9m, Matteo Ruggeri £21.4m, Leon Goretzka Free, Alejandro Garnacho Loan, Aaron Wan-Bissaka Loan
Major Outs: Morgan Rogers £117m, Ezri Konsa £55m, Ollie Watkins £50m, Youri Tielemans £35m, Donyell Malen £21.6m, Emi Martinez £7.5m, Lucas Digne £8.5m
Lots of key players exited the club during this transfer window which harms this side greatly. However, some of their signings are really positive. Ibrahim Mbaye, Johan Manzambi and Zion Suzuki are top additions for the future.
Bournemouth, Grade: C

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Antonio Silva £25.7m, Alvaro Rodriguez £21m, Juanlu Sanchez £11.2m, Michele Di Gregorio Loan
Major Outs: Marcos Senesi Free, Alex Jimenez Court Order/Loan
A pretty quiet first window for Marco Rose. Keeping Alex Scott was crucial, Eli Kroupi Jr also remains through injury. But for a side newly in Europe their side lacks depth and if injuries striker they could be in some strife. Really like the addition of Antonio Silva, a top prospect who is solid on the ball.
Brentford, Grade: B

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Eli Hadji Malick Diouf £40m, Mamadou Sangare £39m, Jaidon Anthony £17m, Jannik Schuster £16.5m, Callum Wilson Free
Major Outs: Ethan Pinnock £6m, Jordan Henderson Free
No major exits for Brentford is a huge plus as they look to push for European football. Eli Hadji Malick Diouf and Mamadou Sangare will be two of the best purchases this season who really suit Brentford's style of play. Great business for the Bees.
Brighton, Grade: B

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Luka Vuskovic £50m, Zadok Yohanna £21.5m, Pascal Struijk £18m, Femi Azeez £15m, Chema Andres £15m, Jaouen Hadjam £9.5m, Costinha £8m, Michael Svobada £4m, Matias Orozco £3.5m, Rodrigo Rego £3m, Promise David Loan
Major Outs: Carlos Baleba £70m, Jan Paul Van Hecke £52m, Carl Rushworth £30m, Diego Coppola £17m, Danny Welbeck £5m
Lost some key talent, but as always Brighton got good prices for their sales. More huge investment in young talent. No surprises there. Brighton have done humble business, nothing super crazy good nor bad. Really like the addition of Luka Vuskovic, I think Tottenham will regret his sale in years to come.
Chelsea, Grade: A-

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Morgan Rogers £117m, Maxence Lacroix £51m, Geovany Quenda £43.5m, Marco Palestra £43m, Pep Chavarria £16.3m, Emi Martinez £7.5m, Valentin Barco £34m, Danny Welbeck £5m, Emmanuel Emegha £21m, Jordan Henderson Free
Major Outs: Tosin £12m, Enzo Fernandez £125m, Mykhaylo Mudryk Loan, Marc Guiu £14.6m, Nicolas Jackson £65m, Marc Cucurella £51.8m, Liam Delap £50m, Andrey Santos £50m, Trevoh Chalobah £30.8m, Tyrique George £24m, Robert Sanchez Loan, Alejandro Garnacho Loan
Chelsea were super busy with transfers both in and out again. Bringing in a new keeper is huge, bringing in Lacroix is another great move, and despite the overpay for Rogers he is a great player. Chelsea also made plenty of money in their player sales despite suspicion from many fans over the dealings that some nefarious is going on. Not signing a replacement midfielder and not signing another defender means Chelsea aren't quite ready for a title push but will be in the conversation.
Coventry, Grade: C

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Caleb Yirenkyi £26m, Carl Rushworth £30m, Sidiki Cherif £20.5m, Loum Tchaouna £20m, Aurele Amenda £17.2m, Taiwo Awoniyi £9m, Gustavo Hamer £6m, Ethan Pinnock £6m, Frank Onyeka £7m
Major Outs: N/A
Really tough for a promoted side, they need to basically turn over their entire squad. Coventry have not quite done that leaving them with the weakest squad in the league. Yirenkyi and Hamer are great additions but not enough in my opinion.
Crystal Palace, Grade: C

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Honest Ahanor Loan, Axel Disasi Loan, Evann Guessand Loan, Zavier Gozo £10m, Quintin Timber £20m, Anan Khalaili £21m, Ben Chilwell £22m, Dwight McNeil Swap Deal, Oscar Mingueza Free, Takehiro Tomiyasi Free
Major Outs: Maxence Lacroix £51m, Brennan Johnson Swap Deal, Daniel Munoz £22m
What an incredibly tough opening window for Pierre Sage. Keeping Ismaila Sarr, Jean-Phillipe Mateta, and Adam Wharton is big for Palace. Their new signings don't fill me with a ton of confidence and I see Palace in a relegation battle.
Everton, Grade: C

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Hayden Hackney £24m, Tyrique George £24m, Merlin Rohl £19m, Christian Norgaard £7m, Ainsley Maitland-Niles £4.2m, Jack Grealish Loan, Brennan Johnson Swap Deal
Major Outs: Tim Iroegbunam £21.1m, Iliman Ndiaye £65m, Beto £15.4m, Dwight McNeil Swap Deal
A huge loss for Everton is losing Ndiaye, but they have yet again left themselves with insufficient depth for a proper European push. Maitland-Niles as their new right-back is underwhelming, and only having Thierno Barry as a striker is very worrying. Hackney, George, and Grealish are nice additions to Everton's squad but this is another window of what ifs for the Toffees after missing out on Kenny Tete and Folarin Balogun.
Fulham, Grade: B-

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Gonzalo Garcia £34m, Shea Charles £30m, Hugo Larsson £21m, Cesar Palacios £8.5m, David Affengruber £8.5m, Jonah Kusi-Asare £5m, Manuel Angel £3m
Major Outs: Sasa Lukic £9m, Issa Diop £8.5m, Raul Jimenez Free, Harry Wilson Free
Harry Wilson is a huge loss especially on a free transfer. But Alvaro Arbeloa has signed several Real Madrid youngsters who he is familiar with; with Gonzalo Garcia looking like a great signing. Fulham still lack bigger names with a level of mediocrity across the park.
Hull, Grade: A

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Lucas Herrington £21.5m, Tim Ireogbunam £21.1m, Konstantinos Tzolakis £17m, Nobel Mendy £17m, Ilyas Ansah £20.5m, Mohamed Ali-Cho £15.4m, Brooke Norton-Cuffy £12m, Christos Mouzakitis £12.8m, Joe Gelhardt £6.5m, Jack Butland £3m, Lucas Gourna-Douath £2.9m, Sorba Thomas £10m, Elliot Stroud £3.5m, Jens Hjerto-Dahl £5m, Hidemasa Morita Free, Robinio Vaz Loan, Oscar Zambrano Undisclosed, Matt Targett Free
Major Outs: Cody Drameh £3.4m, Ivor Pandur £6m
18 new deals for Hull. Wow. I really like what they have done, no major losses, and plenty of great young talent joining the club. Herrington, Tzolakis, Mendy etc all look like masterstrokes that could see the Tigers extend their stay in the top flight against all odds.
Ipswich, Grade: A

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Emersonn £26.6m, Julio Enciso £26m, Abdoul Ouattara £21.3m, Exequiel Palacios £23.5m, Abdul Fatawu £23m, Zian Flemming £20m, Florentino £19m, Kjell Scherpen £11m, Daizen Maeda £10m, Sasa Lukic £9m, Issa Diop £8.5m, Chuba Akpom £7m, Kayne Van Oevelen £4.3m, Cedric Kipre £2.1m
Major Outs: George Hirst £10m, Sam Szmodics Loan
The best business of the window in my opinion. Good seasoned quality signings that addd great depth to this side means they have put themselves in the position to survive this season. Enciso for £26m is an absolute steal, Scherpen for £11m is a steal. I really like Ipswich's deals.
Leeds, Grade: A

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Jean-Matteo Bahoya Loan, Melvin Bard Loan, James Trafford £40m, Tarik Muharemovic £34m, Nico Elvedi £8.5m, Michael Zetterer £4.2m, Harry Wilson Free
Major Ins: Wilfred Gnonto Loan, Pascal Struijk £18m, Joe Gelhardt £6.5m, Lucas Perri Loan, Joel Piroe Loan
Leeds could be a surprise package this season, they have done classy business. Bahoya was a hot commodity and they snagged him, Wilson was a hot commodity and they snagged him for free. They have solved their keeping issue, and Muharemovic looks a bargain. Top class business by Leeds.
Liverpool, Grade: B

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Bradley Barcola £123m, Jeremy Jacquet £60m, Victor Munoz £34.5m, Lucca Brughmans £30m, Ronald Araujo Loan
Major Outs: Curtis Jones £30m, Mohamed Salah Free, Andy Robertson Free, Stefan Bajcetic £2m
Salah is a huge loss for Liverpool, and they have put huge money down to sign Barcola who is far below the quality of Salah. Araujo is one of the most overrated players in the world and a bad signing in my opinion. He gets caught out of position, gets beaten 1 on 1 far to easily and frequently, and lacks discipline. Liverpool paid big money for Jeremy Jacquet, but he looks a top prospect.
Manchester City, Grade: B+

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Enzo Fernandez £125m, Elliot Anderson £116m, Ayyoub Bouaddi £86m, Iliman Ndiaye £65m, Allan £34m, Jeremy Monga £10m, Pierce Charles £10m, Mathys Detourbet £21m, Geronimo Rulli £1.7m
Major Outs: Savio £85m, Rodri £65.4m, Tijjani Reijnders £51m, Nico Gonzalez £50m, James Trafford £40m, Manuel Akanji £13m, Nathan Ake £8.5m, Jack Grealish Loan, Bernardo Silva Free, Omar Marmoush Loan, John Stones Free
Another side who have been subject to rumours about dodgy dealings. But City have made good money from their sales and have not wasted time to reinvest that money. Fernandez, Anderson, Bouaddi, Ndiaye. These are good signings despite some overpays. Bouaddi will be a top signing in the future for City.
Manchester United, Grade: C

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Carlos Baleba £70m, Andrey Santos £50m, Youri Tielemans £35m
Major Outs: Rasmus Hojlund £38m, Casemiro Free, Jadon Sancho Released
A massive missed opportunity for United. Far too much spent on this new look midfield, and no money invested in their defence. United aren't far of a title charge but they have missed out yet again with poor transfer decisions.
Newcastle, Grade: B-

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Matias Fernandez-Pardo £51m, Nico Gonzalez £50m, Banzouma Toure £42m, Aladji Bamba £35.5m, Amar Dedic £29.5m, Lukas Hornicek £25.7m, Sean Steur £23m, Ewen Jaouen £18.5m
Major Outs: Sandro Tonali £100m, Bruno Guimaraes £75m, Anthony Gordon £69.3m, Nick Woltemade Loan, Kieran Trippier Free
A tough window for Newcastle losing Tonali, Guimaraes and Gordon. But new signings Dedic, Steur and Hornicek look really sharp. Fernandez-Pardo's deadline day deal is a good one, and bringing in Gonzalez is solid. Newcastle recovered pretty well considering how tough of a window it has been.
Nottingham Forest, Grade: B-

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Liam Delap £50m, Ousmane Diomande £34.3m, Daniel Munoz £22m, Xaver Schlager Free
Major Outs: Elliot Anderson £116m, Taiwo Awoniyi £9m, Morato Loan
Anderson is a huge loss and Forest missed an opportunity to bring in a top midfielder. But despite not doing a heap of business I think they have done smart business. Munoz is great, Diomande is great, Delap need to prove himself again. But solid depth has been added for Forest.
Sunderland, Grade: C+
Major Ins: Malick Fofana £30.8m, Dayann Methalie £25.7m, Jules Ahoka £8m, Juan Riquelme Angulo £5m, Kevin Danso Loan, Thomas Meunier Free
Major Outs: Eleizer Mayenda £22m, Anthony Patterson £10m
A last minute scramble for Sunderland this time around. This time last season they had done the best business in the league, not this time around. Fofana is a great deal, but Sunderland have failed to produce an exciting transfer window.
Tottenham, Grade: B+

Photo: Getty Images
Major Ins: Sandro Tonali £100m, Savio £85m, Mateus Fernandes £85m, Jan Paul Van Hecke £52m, Tosin £12m, Mykhaylo Mudryk Loan, Martin Dubravka Free, Andy Robertson Free, Marcos Senesi Free, Omar Marmoush Loan
Major Outs: Luka Vuskovic £50m, Cristian Romero £34.3m, Djed Spence £30m, Will Lankshear £20m, Ashley Phillips £20m, Kevin Danso Loan, Guglielmo Vicario Loan, Yves Bissouma Released
Some of the fees for Tottenham's signings reek of desperation. Although they provide much needed depth to a side who have struggled with injuries. Fernandes, Van Hecke and Marmoush I think are really solid players, although I think the sale of Vuskovic will be regrettable.
