Raheem Sterling has pleaded guilty to several charges following a crash involving his Lamborghini on a motorway in Hampshire.
The former England international appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and admitted dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen.
The charges relate to a single-vehicle crash on May 28. Sterling was driving a Lamborghini Urus when the incident occurred.
The former Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea winger was also found with six canisters of nitrous oxide, which is a Class C controlled substance in the UK.
The case represents another difficult chapter in what has been a remarkable but increasingly complicated period of Sterling's career.
Just a few years ago, Sterling was one of the most recognisable players in English football.
But his career has taken a dramatic turn.
Sterling's move to Chelsea in 2022 failed to produce the expected results, and his relationship with the club eventually deteriorated.
He spent last season on loan at Arsenal before moving to Feyenoord, where his short-term contract ended in the summer.
He is currently without a club.
Now, while still only 31, Sterling finds himself dealing with a serious legal case at a time when his football future is already uncertain.
