For the second time in his career, Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen has collapsed during a football game.

The midfielder collapsed against Ukraine in a friendly game holding his chest. Eriksen is fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator following a cardiac arrest he suffered during the Euros in 2021.

The Danish team confirmed on X that Eriksen was quote, "conscious, and under the circumstances, doing well." Great news for a player who has suffered this fate already in his career.

His teammates were visibly shaken with the incident no doubt bringing up bad memories for many of the players.

This incident being his second and being 34 years of age, now many of the questions may surround weather he continues his playing career after recovering from this.

The 34 year old was relegated with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, going down to the second tier of German football.

Any updates on his wellbeing will be posted in days to come, hopefully with news his condition continues to stabilise.
