NSW have capitulated in a second half try scoring bonanza in Melbourne.

QLD took and early penalty goal, then shockingly dropped the ball off the kick off with Kotoni Staggs putting NSW in front.

Up 12-8 at half time this game looked a close low-scoring affair that could go either way. The result would come down to tactics and execution.

QLD then capitalised on every error with huge suedes of possession and quickly took the game away from NSW, with Selwyn Cobbo bagging a hattrick.

But why the game of 2 totally different halves? Laurie Daley tactically got it wrong again. When Daley was chosen to be NSW coach again the NSW fan base wasn't pleased.

Daley now has the worst Origin record for any coach in the history of Origin. Yes he broke the curse during the QLD dynasty years but it's clear he isn't the man for the job.

Cast your mind back to 12 months ago, Daley selected Dylan Edwards so he could build for the future, but fast forward to this year he selects James Tedesco. Not a bad selection but it goes against his own logic.

This year Daley wanted to select a team on form. Jackson Ford is nowhere to be seen. The issue is he doesn't know what he wants and it's a dangerous time when pretty much all NSW fans could pick a better side than the coach of the side.

Blayke Brailey had such a great performance off the bench in game 1, but Api Koroisau was nowhere to be seen. He wanted Ethan Strange to play in the second row, Haumole Olakau'atu played a great game 1, dropped for game 2.

Daley doesn't know his best side, and doesn't know the direction he wants to take this side. With game 3 in QLD, NSW will be huge underdogs after that performance.
