The NRL injury list continues to grow as clubs prepare for a crucial period of the season, with fresh concerns surrounding South Sydney superstar Latrell Mitchell dominating headlines.

Here's the latest from around the league.

South Sydney and New South Wales fans were left sweating today after Latrell Mitchell was forced to leave Rabbitohs training early.

The superstar fullback lasted only around 30 minutes before heading inside, raising fresh concerns over the back injury that has already sidelined him for the opening two matches of the State of Origin series.

Mitchell had been targeting a return against Parramatta this week to prove his fitness ahead of the Origin decider.

While there has been no official confirmation of a setback, the sight of Mitchell leaving training early immediately sparked concern given his importance to both South Sydney and the Blues.

The Rabbitohs remain hopeful Mitchell can still feature against the Eels, with current injury reports listing him as a potential Round 17 return.

Brisbane's forward pack has been repeatedly tested by injuries throughout 2026, and Payne Haas remains a major watch heading into the Origin decider.

Recent reports indicate Haas has been managing injury concerns and has been given time to prove his fitness ahead of representative commitments.

The Broncos will be desperate to have their superstar prop fully fit as they attempt to climb the ladder during the second half of the season.

Brisbane have also been dealt a significant blow with playmaker Ezra Mam suffering a grade three AC joint injury.

The injury places his short-term availability in doubt and comes at a difficult time for the Broncos, who are already battling consistency issues throughout the campaign.

North Queensland have received positive news with Tom Dearden closing in on a return from an ankle injury.

The Cowboys star was initially expected to miss additional time after a hidden fracture was discovered alongside a syndesmosis problem, but current projections suggest he could return as early as Round 17.

The QLD Maroons are keeping tabs on Dearden, but with Sam Walker impressing it's unclear weather Dearden has a place in the halves.

Blayke Brailey has been cleared to return after recovering from a broken arm, while Nicho Hynes is also nearing a comeback from a calf complaint. The return of both players would provide a significant lift for a Sharks side chasing a top-four finish.

Sitili Tupouniua has pulled his hamstring in a huge blow for the Bulldogs. Sitili Tupouniua has been their best player this season and is set for 8 weeks out.

Jensen Taumoepeau has been ruled out for the season after a devastating ankle injury.

In unknown injury periods Pasami Saulo suffered a fractured foot, Brandon Wakeham suffered a calf injury, with Jackson Ford suffering a pectoral injury to deal a massive blow to his Origin chances.

Angus Crichton is also set for a lengthy stint out through injury.

Tomorrows team lists should see the return of a number of key players from all around the league. Stay posted.
