Patrick Beach - 9.5/10

What a performance from Beach who shockingly was selected over Maty Ryan in goal. But Beach looked top quality in between the sticks with some great saves. His only flaw being he looked slightly uncomfortable on the ball, but an iconic performance, making 8 saves, preventing 1.54 goals.

Jordy Bos - 8/10

This guy will be a star in the years to come, his pace, his quality on the ball and his ability to defend one on one makes him one of the Socceroos best players.

Alessandro Circati - 8/10

Another star in the making, Circati looks so comfortable every time he plays. Another top performance by someone who should be Australia's future captain.

Harry Souttar - 9/10

The minister for defence was at his best once again. There's no way he should be playing in Football League One next season. Turkiye continued to cross balls in towards the man mountain, and he continued to head it out of harms way. A rock at the back.

Cameron Burgess - 8/10

A few question marks over weather he would start over Lucas Herrington, but Burgess showed why his experience is so necessary. His composure on the ball under pressure, and his distribution was quality.

Jacob Italiano - 8/10

With the injury to Lewis Miller, Popovic turned to Italiano to step up in the right wing back position and he delivered. Very calm and slick on the ball Italiano looks a great addition to this Socceroos side.

Aiden O'Neill - 8/10

Someone who Popovic likes, but a surprise selection over Jackson Irvine and Cameron Devlin, O'Neil had a solid night in Vancouver. Much more prominent in defence for Australia, O'Neill put his body on the line with several important tackles and blocks.

Paul Okon-Engstler - 8.5/10

Another purprise selection, Okon-Engstler had an excellent first game in the World Cup. In front of his father, Okon-Engstler was the more attacking option centrally for Australia. His close control and turns into space on the ball made a huge difference.

Nestroy Irankunda - 8.5/10

The man Australia wanted to see unleashed at this World Cup didn't disappoint. His pace, power, and explosiveness makes him such a tough player to defend. His fearlessness to take defenders head on is crucial if you want to win on the counter attack.

Mohamed Toure - 8.5/10

At times was let down on the break with a lack of support, Toure looked superb up top for the Socceroos. His ability to hold up the ball in pockets of space and look to distribute will be a key tactic going forward. If he has more support in future games, Toure could be one of Australia's key players.

Conor Metcalfe - 8.5/10

A brilliant goal and top class performance from Metcalfe. A key in Australia's link up play, his role is so key in this side. His passing, dribbling, and his fantastic goal was brilliant to watch.

BENCH:
Nishan Velupillay - 3/10, came on at the hour mark, Velupillay let Zeki Celik in behind too easily for a big chance for Turkiye. With Volpato on the bench, he is definitely the better option.

Tete Yengi - 5/10, a late cameo for Yengi, he played similarly to Toure, with some nice hold up play, but no real impact.

Jason Geria - 4/10, came on late in the game, Geria didn't have any real impact but made sure Italiano got a well deserved rest.

Aziz Behich - N/A, only played the last few minutes of this one, his tussle at the end with Arda Guler was great to see.

Jackson Irvine - N/A, came on with Behich, it will be interesting to see what minutes he gets in the next 2 games.
